EL 1. Students recognize and explain how the geography of a civilization influences the behavior, economics, settlement patterns and determines its characteristics.
EL 2. Students will explain the development and role of social classes within each era or civilization.
EL 3. Students will compare and contrast various forms of government and explain their evolution through time.
EL 4. Students analyze how technology evolved and impacted the development of ancient societies.
EL 5. Students will distinguish between various religions and philosophical ideas comparing and contrasting their characteristics.
